Education Support
We use sports and mentorship as tools to reach vulnerable children, connecting them with school sponsors, learning materials, and medical care.
GREENCARD MTAANI

At Greencard Mtaani, we believe in tackling the root causes of poverty and inequality through hands-on community initiatives.
Our programs are built around five core pillars designed to uplift and empower families across Kibera—especially children, youth, and women.
We use sports and mentorship as tools to reach vulnerable children, connecting them with school sponsors, learning materials, and medical care.
We train and mentor women and young people with practical skills for income generation, while supporting group savings and loans to build economic resilience from the ground up.
Through partnerships and sports-based workshops, we raise awareness on children's rights and collaborate with authorities to ensure every child lives in a safe, nurturing environment.
Working with local health workers and organizations, we raise awareness on hygiene, reproductive health, and COVID-19 recovery—while running feeding programs for the most vulnerable.
Our football club, Greencard FC, engages kids aged 6–18 in structured sports activities that teach teamwork, discipline, and life skills—while keeping them safe from drugs and crime.
Greencard Mtaani (GCM) was born and built in Kibera. Every program we run is designed by and for the people we serve—ensuring relevance, trust, and measurable impact. From grassroots mentorship to global partnerships, we are reimagining what sustainable community empowerment looks like.
We are a grassroots organization deeply connected to Kibera’s needs—yet open to global ideas and collaborations that help scale our mission.
GCM is non-political, non-religious, and open to all. We welcome everyone—regardless of background—who shares our vision for peace, dignity, and opportunity.

Thanks to GCM, my daughter received school fees and sanitary pads through the Zuri Pad Bank. Today, she is in high school and dreams of becoming a nurse.
